What a drag… less than a week after our pal Miranda left us her long time amiga Mira has also passed away… Miro was cool… the epitome of the cat “I’ll acknowledge you and you can say “hi” and pet me when I damn well please” ethos… she’ll be missed…

So I decided to take today off and turn this upcoming three day weekend into a whoppin’ four day affair… and what better way to start the day than with a nice long bike ride through our awesome local trail network???… i was out later than usual and noticed that the sun was just right to make the lighting in each section of the forest just awesome for pictures… like a twat i was without a camera…
Which got me thinking about taking pictures in general… I really like taking pictures but rarely ever do… odd, huh???… so i decided that I’m gonna pack a camera along with me a often as i can from now on and snap away… which i did when I took the dog for a walk post bike ride… and along the way we found this flower… it’s glow-y…

Our cat Miranda passed away today… She was old and she was having issues lately… And as much as I made light of these things, especially lately I dug her a lot and I miss her a bunch..

Well whee doggies!!!… I’m gonna play golf tomorrow!!!… This is good… Hell – it’s better than good – it’s awesome!!!… It’ll be just the second time I’ve had such an adventure since we moved… I shall try not to injure myself or others…

So it’s the next to last weekend of summer break and it’s raining… and it’s gonna rain all weekend… kinda a bummer but the potential is there for lotsa fun indoor adventures with the kiddos… could be a challenge however because they’re at each others throats constantly these days… it’s definitely time for the school year to start again…
as an aside… the boo, who is six, used the word “penultimate” in a sentence a couple of months ago… I was kinda gobsmacked and rather impressed… I asked her where she learned that word and she said ‘I dunno… I just know it”… she’s used it a few times since too… I like words so I thought that was pretty wicked…

‘S been a while since I’ve written anything here… and I miss doing so…
So I think I’ll endeavo(u)r to do so on a daily-type basis to get back into the habit… with a daily observation or picture or whatever…
My observation for today is that I really really really like XM radio… we euthanized my semi-beloved aged green Honda and got a new car that came with this new-fangled whiz-bang satellite radio stuff… and I dig it… I especially like that fact that our free trial period is over and the powers that be haven’t twigged on that they should be charging us… I guess the only thing better than satellite radio is satellite radio on the house…

Yip… I’ve been de-herniated… err… or whatever that would be called… ’twas a kinda tough procedure, very cool folks at the venue, came home yesterday and am looking forward to resuming life as normal…

On a more positive note… so as not to be a complete whining biznatch… I’ve been wrestling with the lil’ morsel o’ technology that is our wireless router and trying to allow love-of-my-life Karen’s new work laptop to connect properly… a challenge given the (IMHO) bizarre way that her IT department has set the thing up… well after about three weeks of thinking about it & a couple of days of really going at it success is ours… go team!!!…
